Troy Parrott scores first Real Betis goal in stunning win over Real Madrid

Troy Parrott scored his first goal for Real Betis, and it was a memorable one too as his new side beat Real Madrid 1-0.
Parrott, introduced in the 68th minute, broke the deadlock in the 81st when he reacted quickly after Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois parried a header into his path.
The goal, combined with goalkeeper Alvaro Valles saving a stoppage-time penalty from Kylian Mbappe, brought Madrid's perfect start to the La Liga season to an end.
"That's a striker's job, you know," Parrott said about his goal.
"To go in after the ball and hope that it will fall in front of me. Look, in a game I might do this ten times and it might not happen.
"So yeah, it's a mentality thing to just keep going in there and hopefully it comes and today it did."

The clash began at a high tempo but the pace dropped after the interval in the Seville heat.
Mbappe struck the crossbar four minutes after Parrott's goal before substitute Carlos Espi met a cross from Vinicius Junior with a spectacular bicycle kick, only for the equaliser to be ruled out for offside following a VAR review.
Nelson Deossa then nearly sealed the victory for hosts Betis with a long-range effort after spotting Courtois off his line, but the goalkeeper recovered to make the save.
Madrid got one final opportunity when Natan brought down Vinicius inside the area deep into stoppage time, but Valles saved Mbappe's spot kick to preserve Betis's lead and secure the three points.
