Denise O'Sullivan completes move to NWSL outfit Gotham FC

Republic of Ireland international Denise O'Sullivan has completed her move to National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) side Gotham FC. 

O'Sullivan, 32, returns to America - on a one-year loan move with an obligation to buy - after spending the first half of 2026 with Liverpool in the Women's Super League. 

The Cork woman joined the Merseyside club in January for a club record fee of £300,000 and performed admirably as Liverpool managed to steer clear of any relegation concerns.

Prior to her move to England, Ireland centurion O'Sullivan had been a firm favourite at North Carolina Courage for nine seasons, where she was club captain. 

A two-time NWSL champion and three-time NWSL Shield winner, O’Sullivan is one of the most accomplished players in league history and brings more than a decade of international experience to Gotham.
