Ireland midfielder Denise O'Sullivan is set to leave Liverpool and return to the United States, according to reports.
The Cork woman joined the Merseyside club in January for a club record fee of £300,000 and performed well in the WSL as Liverpool staved off any relegation concerns in the second half of the campaign.
However, a report in the London Times claims O'Sullivan will leave England and return to play in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
O'Sullivan had been a firm favourite at North Carolina Courage for nine seasons, where she was club captain.
But BBC Sport is reporting that Liverpool are in talks with Gotham FC for O'Sullivan's transfer, which may involve an initial loan.
BBC says the expected move is for personal reasons, with O’Sullivan keen on a return to the US.
