Today’s FAI Cup draw has produced a repeat of last year’s final with the meeting of holders Shamrock Rovers and Cork City.
The respective leaders of the Premier and First Divisions will square up at Tallaght Stadium on the weekend of July 19 after they were paired in the draw held at FAI headquarters.
Elsewhere, Ringmahon Rangers, the schoolboy club of Caoimhín Kelleher and Jaden Umeh, will host Premier Division Bohemians at home – a tie likely moved to Turner’s Cross.
Midleton face a trip to Athlone Town while College Corinthians head to Dublin for a visit to fellow non-league side Bangor Celtic. Douglas Hall welcome Castlebar Celtic to Cork.
Last year’s beaten semi-finalists Kerry slayed Sligo along their journey and will be aiming for another shock when they welcome Joey O’Brien’s Shelbourne to Mounthawk Park.
2024 winners Drogheda United will host Lucan United, Limerick’s Janesboro hosts Sligo Rovers and Dundalk travel to St Mochta’s.
