Jessie Stapleton returns from injury to take her place in Carla Ward's 25-player squad for the final two FIFA 2027 Women's World Cup qualifiers against the Netherlands and France.
Also returning is Crystal Palace defender Hayley Nolan, while Shelbourne midfielder Aoibheann Clancy retains her place following a string of impressive performances in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division.
Ireland enter the final window with direct qualification for next summer’s finals tournament in Brazil still a possibility. Should Ireland secure top spot in the group across these two fixtures, they will bypass the play-off system and secure an automatic berth at the World Cup.
First up is a home fixture as Ireland head to Cork to face the Netherlands at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Friday, June 5th (7:30pm KO). The squad will then travel to Grenoble to take on France at the Stade des Alpes on Tuesday, June 9th (8pm).
Both Denise O’Sullivan and Emily Murphy are suspended for the home match against the Netherlands but will remain with the squad for the duration of the camp and will be available for selection for the final game against France.
