Collingwood Cup draw: Champions Maynooth University begin defence against DCU

Champions Maynooth University will begin the defence of their Irish Universities Collingwood Cup title against DCU.

The draw for the 105th edition of this prestigious competition, which will run from February 16 to February 18, took place on Monday with the holders handed a tricky tie against DCU in the quarter-finals.

Also in the last eight, last year’s beaten finalists University of Galway will take on UCC while multiple winners UCD are set to face hosts UL, and Trinity College will meet Queens University.

The four winners of those ties will progress to the semi-finals on Tuesday with the final then taking place on Wednesday. All games will be played at the UL Sports Campus.
