The Republic of Ireland remain 59th in the FIFA world rankings after the latest places were revealed late on Monday night. 

The recent Africa Cup of Nations tournament made a significant impact on the standings but the Republic of Ireland have retained their spot in 59th, although South Africa, who climbed above Saudi Arabia into 60th and Burkina Faso (62nd) closed the gap with their results. Northern Ireland also remain unchanged in 69th.
