Matt Doherty calls on Wolves teammates to not be remembered as 'cowards'
Wolves' Matt Doherty: "We need to look at ourselves in the mirror and figure out how we want to be remembered at the club."
Matt Doherty said he and his Wolves teammates are "not finding it easy at all" after the club lost its 10th consecutive Premier League game, a 2-0 defeat at home to Brentford on Saturday.
"We're obviously very hurt but we need to act," the Ireland international told Sky Sports.
"It's easy to say all these things that we're hurting. We just need to show some more on the pitch."
The game was level at the break but two Keane Lewis-Potter goals gave Brentford the win. Doherty won a late penalty for his side, getting his foot to the ball before being brought down by fellow Ireland international Caoimhín Kelleher. Jorgen Strand Larsen kick was saved by Kelleher.
The defeat leaves Wolves winless with just two points from 17 games.

"We're in the game for 60 minutes and we feel like we're doing OK," said Doherty.
"And then we concede the goal and it just feels like you concede the same goal again after that. It's just a bit too easy.
"I need to see it back. I haven't seen them back. I think the ball might have been a bounce or something. There is not much to say other than we're just not good enough.
"We need to do some soul-searching and have a look in the mirror and just figure out what we want to be remembered for at the club. Do we want to be remembered for fighting all the way to the end of the season or do we want to be remembered for being cowards and taking the easy option out and maybe trying to leave in January? Not fighting in training, and letting other people take your position and stuff we like that.
"We need to look at ourselves in the mirror and figure out how we want to be remembered at the club."
