Shamrock Rovers have unsurprisingly been well represented at the 2025 Soccer Writers Ireland awards.

The nominees were announced today, with Rovers showing up in both the Men’s Personality of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year categories.

In the Men’s Personality of the Year the league and Cup double champions have four nods with manager Stephen Bradley joined by Roberto ‘Pico’ Lopes, Graham Burke and goalkeeper Ed McGinty.

This year Bradley will be chasing his fourth SWI Personality of the Year award.

The other nominees on the six man short-list are Shelbourne boss Joey O’Brien and defender Kerr McInroy as well as Derry City’s wing wizard Michael Duffy.

In the Goalkeeper of the Year category Rovers' Ed McGinty is joined by Derry City’s Brian Maher and Ghana international Joseph Anang who kept 18 clean sheets for St Pat's last season.

Meanwhile, In the Women's Personality of the Year category, double champions Athlone Town dominated with five of the six listed nominees.

Kelly Brady, Madison Gibson, Hannah Waesch, Kayleigh Shine and Colin Fortune were joined by Wexford’s Ellen Molloy.

The awards will be presented at Clontarf Castle hotel in Dublin on Friday, December 5, the same day as the draw for the 2026 World Cup.
