Evan Ferguson to miss upcoming World Cup Qualifiers after sustaining ankle injury

Ferguson was diagnosed with a sprained right ankle and a strain of the ligaments. He is expected to be out for at least two weeks

Evan Ferguson is expected to miss Ireland's upcoming World Cup Qualifers against Portugal (Nov 13) and Hungary (Nov 16) after sustaining an ankle injury in the opening minutes of Roma's victory over Parma on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old was hauled off after just seven minutes of the contest when he was involved in a collision and had to limp off before having a chance to make an impact.
