Barcelona’s Camp Nou return against Valencia delayed after permit problem

Sunday's match against Valencia will instead be played at the 6,000-seat Johan Cruyff Stadium at Barcelona’s Sant Joan Despí training ground to the west of the city.

Barcelona have announced that their opening home game of the season against Valencia will not be played at the Camp Nou – five days before it was due to take place.

The club had been given permission to play their first three fixtures away from home in order to complete the first phase of construction work at their stadium, and that was followed by the international break.
