Healy 'hurt' by Kerry loss to Dundalk as Okwute dropped for being late

“There was no injury. Daniel was late. We have rules here and discipline is very important. Daniel was late so Daniel wasn’t in the squad” Healy puts the record straight.

Kerry FC manager Colin Healy was in an angry mood when he spoke to the media post their 4-0 loss to league leaders Dundalk at Mounthawk Park last night. When asked what his thoughts on the defeat were, he did not mince his words “Obviously, it’s not good enough. We didn’t pick up many seconds. We gave away too many soft goals. Yeah, it’s unacceptable.”

When it was suggested that his side was in the game for 60 minutes, Healy interjected “I didn’t think we were. I think probably the last 15/20 minutes of the first half, I thought we had a small bit of joy and kept the ball a small bit better but we are giving away silly goals and that’s killing us” the manager explained.
