Julian Alvarez put Atletico Madrid back on top of LaLiga as his side put away a wasteful Athletic Bilbao to seal a vital 1-0 win.

Alvarez slotted home a sharp finish after a neat assist from fellow substitute Marcos Llorente to settle the clash at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano and nudge his side two points above title rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona.
