West Ham have confirmed technical director Tim Steidten will be leaving the club "to pursue new opportunities".
Steidten, 45, was appointed in July 2023 having worked in a similar role at Bayer Leverkusen and his departure follows the recent arrival of Kyle Macaulay as the club's head of recruitment.
West Ham said: "West Ham United Football Club can confirm that technical director Tim Steidten will be leaving the club. Tim has been instrumental in our recruitment efforts.
"With the arrival of our new head coach Graham Potter, who has brought in his own head of recruitment, it is time for Tim to pursue new opportunities.
"We would like to thank Tim for his dedication and hard work and wish him all the best in his future endeavours."
West Ham boss Graham Potter replaced the sacked Julen Lopetegui last month and confirmed then that he would be linking up again with Macaulay, having also worked with him at Brighton and Stamford Bridge.
Macaulay replaced West Ham's former head of recruitment Rob Newman, who left in the summer.
The club's recruitment has come under heavy scrutiny after the Hammers spent over ÂŁ130million in the summer only to find themselves in the bottom half of the table.
Striker Niclas Fullkrug, a ÂŁ27million signing from Borussia Dortmund, scored two goals in nine league games before sustaining a hamstring injury and Brazilian teenager Luis Guilherme has made seven substitute appearances since arriving from Palmeiras for a reported ÂŁ25m.
