Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of 23-year-old Derby central defender Eiran Cashin for an undisclosed fee.
Rams Academy graduate Cashin, who has represented the Republic of Ireland at youth and Under-21 levels, has signed a five-and-a-half year deal.
Manager Fabian Hurzeler said: "We're delighted to welcome Eiran to the club. He's gained a lot of experience in the Championship, has a good profile and as a left-sided defender he will give us another strong defensive option.
"We're looking forward to working with Eiran and watching him develop with us."
Meanwhile Evan Ferguson was initially named as a substitute for the Seagulls' trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.
The Ireland striker has been linked with a move before the transfer window closes on Monday but he played their last 17 minutes or so in the closing stages of Brighton's heavy loss at the City Ground.
