Middlesbrough have signed Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers on loan for the rest of the season.

The Republic of Ireland international has played 82 times for the Cherries and his last appearance came in the 2-2 draw at Chelsea earlier this month.

Travers' arrival is a boost for sixth-placed Middlesbrough's play-off ambitions in the Championship, with goalkeepers Sol Brynn and Seny Dieng facing extended spells on the sidelines through injury.

The 25-year-old spent time on loan at Stoke last season where he made 14 appearances.

Bournemouth said on the club's website: "We wish Mark all the best for the remainder of the season."

Meanwhile Festy Ebosele has announced that his loan spell at Watford has come to an end.

The Irish international joined the Hornets from Italian side Udinese at the start of the season and made 19 appearances in all competitions under manager Tom Cleverley.

But on Wednesday, the Wexford native took to Instagram to say:“Watford fans thank you for the memories these past five months, you welcomed me like one of your own.

"I wish I could of played for you more while I was here. The fight continues. I wish you guys all the best keep singing.”

Sky Sports have reported that two Turkish teams, believed to be Istanbul Basaksehir and Galatasaray, are chasing the attacking and versatlie full-back's signature ahead of the close of the transfer window next Monday.
