The FAI’s protracted search for a new head of talent identification and recruitment appears to be close to finality with Shamrock Rovers Academy coaching chief Aidan Price in pole position.

Although the FAI advertised the vacancy almost a year ago last February and Heimir Hallgrímsson cited the resource as crucial to their quest to attract non-Irish born players, recruitment has dragged on.
