Dundalk said that "significant progress" towards the club being awarded a licence for 2025 has been made with the FAI.

Dundalk are yet to be awarded a club licence for the 2025 League of Ireland season.

The club were relegated from the Premier Division this season amid serious financial issues at Oriel Park. A consortium fronted by Dundalk solicitor John Temple took control of the club from Brian Ainscough in September.
