Hallgrimsson's Ireland to play Bulgaria in Uefa Nations League play-off 

The Boys in Green will now take on Bulgaria - ranked 84th in the world - in March.

The Republic of Ireland will take on Bulgaria in their UEFA Nations League B/C relegation/promotion play-off.

Heimir Hallgrimsson's men finished third in their group, above Finland, and below Greece and England, meaning they staved off relegation but would need to negotiate a play-off in the new year.
