John O’Shea insists there’s no confusion among players about the Ireland managerial situation after Heimir Hallgrimsson skipped Monday’s pre-match press conference.

The Icelander made it clear at the outset his intention to take a back seat during this introductory window, leaning on assistants John O’Shea and Paddy McCarthy for continuity from the caretaker stint.
