Transfer news: Joao Felix could be Chelsea player soon while Gundogan eyes City return
Joao Felix during his first spell as a Chelsea player in 2023.
Leicester have completed the signing of Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp on a five-year contract.
The deal for the 23-year-old is understood to be an initial £20million with a further £5m in add-ons.
"I'm really excited to sign. I've got the feeling that it's a good group of people and a good group of players," he told the club's website.
"I had conversations with the people here and they gave me a feeling of warmth and that they were excited to have me on board.
"As a player, when you feel that excitement, that's something you can use to develop your game.
"The staff here know me as well - Steve (Cooper), I have worked with at England so there's definitely a good relationship there and I'm keen to push on and show what I can do."
Ipswich have signed Sweden midfielder Jens Cajuste from Napoli on loan until the end of the season.
The 25-year-old, who has won 23 senior caps, moved to Naples last summer from French club Reims and made 26 Serie A appearances last season.
He told TownTV: "This feels great and I'm happy to be here.
"It took a little while with the negotiations but I'm finally here and I'm very excited.
"I've had great conversations with the manager and this seems like a very interesting project. It's an ambitious club and a team that is progressing.
"I'm a player that works hard and I want to contribute in attack and defence. I want to play as much as possible and I'll be looking to get some good tackles in!"
Brighton have confirmed the signing of French forward Georginio Rutter from Leeds.
The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the Premier League outfit.
Rutter, who scored eight goals and contributed 16 assists for Leeds last season, has moved for a reported club record £40million.
Chelsea have agreed a deal with Atletico Madrid to sign Joao Felix, according to reports, which could see midfielder Conor Gallagher move to the Spanish club.
Portugal international Felix had a six-month loan spell at Stamford Bridge from January 2023 and then spent last season with Barcelona.
Chelsea are reported to have agreed a £40million fee with Atletico which would see the 24-year-old make a permanent switch.
The Premier League club have been contacted by the PA news agency, but were not available for immediate comment on the reports.
Felix's arrival would then appear to open the door for England midfielder Gallagher to complete a move to Atletico, which stalled after Chelsea's intended move for Samu Omorodion fell through.
Chelsea - who lost their opening Premier League match 2-0 against Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Sunday - are also reported to have received a formal offer from Napoli for striker Romelu Lukaku.
Raheem Sterling's future at Chelsea is in doubt after new boss Enzo Maresca said he plans to clear up the former England winger's situation in the coming days.
Sterling was left out of the Blues squad on Sunday, and his representatives released a statement questioning the decision.

In other transfer news, there is uncertainty over ilkay Gundogan's future at Barcelona.
The midfielder is under contract at Barcelona until 2026 after hitting the appearance requirements last term to extend his two-year deal by 12 months.
But there has been speculation that he could leave Catalonia with former club Manchester City among suggested destinations.
Gundogan made more than 300 appearances for City between 2016 and 2023 and led them to Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League success in his final campaign at the Etihad Stadium.
Sticking with the English champions, Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal have Manchester City defenders Kyle Walker and João Cancelo on a three-man shortlist to reinforce their defence. The third player of interest is City academy product and current Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong. Al-Hilal originally had Trent Alexander-Arnold as a target but the Liverpool full-back expressed no interest in a move to Saudi Arabia.
The club are looking at right-backs to replace Saud Abdulhamid, who has attracted interest from Reims and Roma. The Serie A side have tabled an offer for Abdulhamid. Walker has been open to a move abroad before, attracting interest from Bayern Munich last summer before signing a new contract until 2026 and City are not interested in selling the England international.

Cancelo spent the past season and a half on loan at Bayern and Barcelona and was left out of the squad that won at Chelsea on Sunday. Guardiola has opened the door for him to play for the first team again but a departure would suit all parties. “About what’s going to happen, it depends on his agents and the club,” Guardiola said. “In the end, if he has to stay we will treat him like all the other players, with respect, and try to take the best from the huge qualities he has.”
Nottingham Forest have seen an opening €25m (£21m) bid for Feyenoord striker Santiago Giménez rejected. The Dutch side are eager to keep the Mexican international, who has scored 40 goals in 64 Eredivisie appearances, for their Champions League campaign and would require a bid above €30m to consider parting ways with him.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are willing to wait until transfer deadline day to try to sign Manuel Ugarte. There does not have to be any outgoings to finance the deal although Paris Saint-Germain’s £51m valuation of the Uruguay midfielder is deemed too high by United and there is belief that the French champions may reduce it as the deadline nears.
Ugarte could be purchased now by United should PSG lower their asking price but the manager, Erik ten Hag, and the sporting director, Dan Ashworth, are prepared to bide their time to force a reduction. The window closes at 11pm on 30 August and United are intent on making more sales before then. The players the club would listen to offers for include Victor Lindelöf, Casemiro, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Scott McTominay.

Fulham are interested in the latter, having lodged a bid of around £20m at the start of the month. Yet United do not need to sell the attacking midfielder or any other squad member to finance a deal for Ugarte. It is understood that a move for Sancho to PSG either as a part of a Ugarte transfer or separately is unlikely.
Ten Hag wants the 23-year-old Uruguayan to enhance his options in defensive midfield. Personal terms between United and the player are believed to have been agreed and Ugarte was left out of PSG’s 4-1 win at Le Havre in Friday’s opening Ligue 1 match.
