Roy Keane said he does not see himself being a football pundit in 10 years' time.
While celebrating his 53rd birthday on the Stick to Football podcast, Keane was asked by Gary Neville where he sees himself in life by his 63rd birthday
"Hopefully, I'll be out of this rat race in about 12 months," the Corkman said with a smile after considering his answer.
"A nice house somewhere, a bit of land, a few animals."
Jamie Carragher asked if the former Ireland captain sees himself still being involved in football punditry by the next decade.
"Absolutely f**king not," he responded immediately.
"Jesus Christ. You must be joking. I'll struggle for the next 10 months doing this.
"I love football but the hassle of matches, getting to games and the hassle of fans – I was in court a few months ago with somebody headbutting me – do you think I enjoy that side of it? Absolutely not.
"The games are fine. Getting to the games, parking up, people shouting your name – good stuff, bad stuff – it’s a nuisance, isn't it? Are we all in a agreement?
"Being a pundit in 10 years, no.”
Keane said that going into the new Premier League season, he has concerns about Manchester United.
“It’s always a worry for me about competing and I still worry about the spine of that Manchester United team," he said.
"For all the nice play they have and good players, I still worry about the goalkeeper and striker.
“On paper they have a decent squad, but the reality is when they’ve played games, and last year with their record in the league they were so open. If you’re on about competing, I worry about the spine of the team.”
Keane believes that Manchester City will win the Premier League this season while he feels Liverpool will miss out on the top four "unless they get a couple of signings in the next few weeks.”
