Republic of Ireland under-21 duo Andrew Moran and Mark O'Mahony could soon be heading to the Championship in loan moves away from parent club Brighton.

20-year-old Moran - having spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers - is highly sought after among clubs in the English second-tier, with Stoke City and Bristol City at the top of the list, according to The Athletic.

The attacking midfielder made his senior debut for the Republic of Ireland this year and will be looking to kick on once again in what he will see as an important campaign after the strides made in 2023/24.

Should he head for Stoke, he would link up with international teammate Bosun Lawal, who recently made the permanent move to the Potters from Scottish giants Celtic.

Lawal enjoyed an impressive loan at English League One side Fleetwood Town last season.

For former Cork City striker O'Mahony, a first loan move away from Brighton has been touted, with Sheffield Wednesday said to be interested in securing his services for the 2024/25 Championship campaign.

Having made the cross-channel move at the start of 2023, 19-year-old O'Mahony featured three times for Brighton under the stewardship of then-manager Roberto De Zerbi.
