Uefa president backs FAI call for state funding for football facilities

Uefa President Aleksander Čeferin has given his support to FAI proposals to the Irish government on the funding of facilities for Irish football.

Ahead of next month's Europa League final, which will be played at the Aviva Stadium, FAI president Paul Cooke outlined the association's Facility Investment Vision and Strategy for Irish Football to Čeferin at a Uefa headquarters meeting in Nyon.
