Shelbourne and St Patrick's Athletic have released a joint statement to condemn the racial abuse aimed at Shels' strength and conditioning coach Mauro Martins during their match at Richmond Park on Friday night.

Shels manager Damien Duff told reporters in the aftermath of their 2-1 victory that the Portugal native had been the subject of a racist remark but he was unsure if the incident would be reported due to a lack of proof.
