UL took a step closer to capturing a first ever Collingwood Cup with a clear cut 2-0 semi-final victory over holders UCD on the second day of the Irish Universities premier soccer tournament at Galway.

A goal in each half from Edmund O’Dwyer and Oisin Breen saw UL through to the final and gain some revenge for their defeat by the Belfield side in last year’s decider.
