Watch: Jurgen Klopp compares Waterford's Connor Parsons to Jack Grealish
PLAY-OFF FINAL IN NOVEMBER?: Connor Parsons may not have been able to convince Jurgen Klopp that he is indeed a professional footballer but, still, getting compared to Jack Grealish by the Liverpool manager isn't bad. Pic credit: Sky Sports.
Connor Parsons may not have been able to convince Jurgen Klopp that he is indeed a professional footballer but, still, getting compared to Jack Grealish by the Liverpool manager isn't bad.
To be fair to Parsons, it was really the nature of the League of Ireland that threw the Reds boss.
"Play-off final? Why would you play in Ireland until November?" wondered Klopp. "It doesn't make sense," quickly added Joel Matip.
But, yes, not long after his stunning equaliser helped Waterford clinch promotion back to the top-tier of Irish football with victory over Cork City in that aforementioned play-off final, the Blues winger - during his winter break - was on Sky Sports playing 'Pick the Pro' with Klopp and Matip.
He tried his best and being the only player of the five involved in the video saw him progress through the first round, earning the Grealish comparisons in the process, while his two converted penalties ensured he also made it past the second stage.

Can Jurgen Klopp guess WHO the professional footballer is from our lineup? 💭
But it was the third and penultimate round where Parsons unfortunately came unstuck with the German struggling with the idea of a play-off final occurring at that time of year.
"November? Which sort of play-off final could that be?" again queried the Premier League winner before he sent Parsons packing from the game but only after declaring that Déise attacker "definitely" plays football and that "he's a good player as well!"
Following the final round it was revealed to Klopp and Matip that Parsons was in fact the only professional amongst the group therefore meaning they failed the challenge.
"The Irish thing killed me!" admitted Klopp.
"Now explain the Ireland thing," he asked of Parsons, who replied, "In Ireland the seasons are from February to November, we don't play over the winter months because it gets too cold and the pitches get ruined and stuff."
"I should have known that" Klopp interjected. "Jack Grealish from Ireland got it," he concluded.
You're welcome to come here anytime for a match, Jurgen.
