Donny van de Beek set to leave United in January loan deal
EXIT DOOR: Manchester United's Donny Van de Beek during a pre-season friendly.
Donny van de Beek Manchester United nightmare looks to have finally come an end.
Midfielder Van de Beek's career has been largely at a standstill despite playing 35 times since making the move to Old Trafford from Ajax in 2020.
A 2022 loan spell at fellow Premier League Everton was marred by injury trouble. This season, 26-year-old Van de Beek - working once again under old Ajax boss Erik ten Hag - has played just 21 minutes of football across all competitions.
Now, it is understood that Van de Beek has been offered a way out of United, with Eintracht Frankfurt said to have agreed terms for the Dutch midfielder, with a view to securing his services come January.
In what will be an initial loan deal, with a fee attached, reports in Europe suggest the Bundesliga outfit - who have seen off Juventus and Girona in the pursuit - can secure the player on a full-time basis for as little as €15 million, plus add-ons in the summer.
United bought the talented midfielder for €45 million.
