Gareth Bale feels ‘incredibly fortunate to have realised dream’ as he retires

Wales captain Gareth Bale admitted he was “incredibly fortunate to have realised my dream” as he announced his retirement from football following a trophy-laden playing career.

Bale, a five-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid who is Wales’ most-capped male player and their record men’s goalscorer, announced his decision on Monday afternoon.
