Joao Pedro's second-half goal earned Watford a 1-0 victory over Sheffield United and ensured Rob Edwards' side made a winning start to life back in the Championship.

The Hornets slipped out of the Premier League last season having failed to win any of their last 13 league games at Vicarage Road.
