Tottenham face a nervous wait to see the extent of Harry Kane’s latest ankle injury.

The England captain was withdrawn at half-time of the chastening 3-1 home defeat to Liverpool after suffering knocks to both ankles in the first half, but it was the one to his left joint that seemed most damaging.
