Cork City defender Alan Bennett has announced his retirement from football at the age of 39.

Bennett has today called time on a 20-year career that brought two Ireland senior caps, two League of Ireland titles, and two FAI Cups, with Bennett captaining City to victory in the 2017 cup final.
