Alex Neil appointed manager of Preston North End

A large number of League of Ireland graduates play for the Deepdale side.

Championship side Preston have appointed former Norwich manager Alex Neil as their new manager.

North End had a vacancy to fill for the first time in four years after Simon Grayson was appointed by Sunderland last month, and they have opted to fill it with 36-year-old Scot Neil.
