PICS: Heroic defensive display sees 10-man Dundalk secure Europa League point in Holland

Dundalk have secured a famous 1-all draw against AZ Alkmaar in their first game in the Europa League group stages.

Dundalk salvaged their night with a last-gasp headed equaliser against stellar Dutch opponents AZ Alkmaar on their Europa League group stage debut tonight.

Struggling with their captain Stephen O'Donnell red carded and trailing by a goal, Dundalk rallied in the dying minutes with Ciaran Kilduff's strike which left it 1-1 at the final whistle and set tricolours waving in the Netherlands.
