What did you think of Conor McGregor's promo before the game?

RTÉ’s coverage of Ireland first game against Sweden is dividing opinion before a ball has been kicked.

The national broadcaster aired a promo by MMA star Conor McGregor in the build-up to the game.

The UFC star praised the experience of the Ireland team, saying: “These young pups you are going up against were still in nappies when you were knee-deep in the trenches”.

It was meant to stir the blood before kick-off and did exactly that for many, many viewers.
