Seamus Coleman believes the Ireland squad shouldn’t have to wait for Roy Keane’s “reality checks” to keep their standards high, adding that there’s something wrong if they are necessary, writes Stephen Barry.

Keane directed a harshly-worded critique towards fringe players and those making excuses for a lack of form, although he namechecked Coleman as one of the “good pros”.
