Pep Guardiola signs off with third straight title at Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga title for a record 25th time today thanks to a 2-1 win at Ingolstadt.

With Borussia Dortmund losing 1-0 at Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayern head into the final weekend of the season with an eight-point cushion at the top, granting their coach Pep Guardiola a hat-trick of league wins in his reign at the Bavarian club and earning them a record fourth straight title.

Robert Lewandowski put them in front from the penalty spot before the Pole extended his advantage over Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the top of the goalscoring charts with a second.

Moritz Hartmann pulled one back for Ingolstadt from the penalty spot, but Bayern held on for all three points and the 2015-16 Bundesliga title.

Dortmund spent almost the entire second half of their clash at Frankfurt in their hosts' half, but they were unable to reply to Stefan Aigner's goal as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at the Waldstadion.

That result boosts Frankfurt's survival prospects, although they face a final-day showdown with Werder Bremen to avoid a relegation play-off with the side finishing third in the 2. Bundesliga.
