Leicester's Jamie Vardy close to return after groin surgery

He did some light training on Monday morning, after a warm up, away from the main squad as boss Claudio Ranieri nurses him back to health.

Leicester birthday boy Jamie Vardy is facing a race against time to be fit to face Tottenham.

The forward – who turned 29 on Monday – had a minor groin operation earlier this month and missed Sunday’s 2-2 FA Cup draw with Spurs.
