His most recent move definitely falls into the former category - a lovely gesture for a little girl from his hometown.

William Sweeney, who is friends with McClean on Facebook, posted recently about his beloved god-daughter Kaylee.

She has Spina Bifida and her family were trying to raise £1500 by Christmas to buy a special hand cycle bike for her.

West Brom and Republic of Ireland player McClean saw the post and quickly offered to give them the money for Kaylee's bike.
