Peamount United and Raheny United face off in Women's League Cup final
Peamount United and Raheny United contest Sunday’s Continental Tyres Women’s National League Cup final in one of Ireland’s most famous football grounds.
Tolka Park hosts the meeting of the two most successful team’s since the inception of the Continental Tyres Women’s National League in 2011.
Peamount United were inaugural winners of the Women’s National league in 2011/12, also adding the League Cup in 2012 and 2013.
“I’m really looking forward to it now,” explained Peamount boss Robbie Mulligan, whose side defeated Galway WFC on penalties to make the Tolka showdown.
“It’s great to have the game in Tolka Park,” added Mulligan.
"I feel we are good to go. The players are eager to get going and I know we have what it takes to lift the cup on Sunday evening."

Raheny United, twice winners of the Women’s National League in 2013 and 2014, also completed a three in a row FAI Senior Cup win earlier this season.
However the Continental Tyres Women’s National League Cup has eluded Raheny United, as Sunday marks their first appearance in the showpiece final.
“It’s going to be a tight game and Peas have a few tricks up their sleeves,” admitted Pandas’ coach Casey McQuillian.
“Tolka Park has a lot of history and the girls are loving the idea of playing there. We’re used to big grounds, having played in the Aviva Stadium twice. Personally, I’ve a lot of experience in Tolka Park, having won the FAI Junior Cup there with Ballymun United and I hope to extend that on Sunday.”
Robbie Mulligan welcomes back Laura Traynor for Peas, while Mags Doyle is injured and Anna McCormack is doubtful.
Raheny United are without Lauren Dwyer and Sarah Rowe, while Noelle Murray is suspended. Clare Shine is available for Sunday’s final.
The FAI Umbro Women’s U16 Cup Final between Peamount United and Salthill Devon kicks off at 1:30pm in Tolka Park as a curtain raiser to the Continental Tyres Women’s National League Cup Final at 4:30pm.
