Saints manage to hang on to Fonte

Southampton defender Jose Fonte has signed a new deal with the Barclays Premier League club, manager Ronald Koeman has announced.

Portuguese defender Fonte, 30, has pledged his future to the St Mary’s outfit and will remain at the south coast club until at least 2017.
