Cork City have broken last year’s total attendance just half way through the season, according to the Evening Echo.

City had to attract 2,623 fans or more to Turner’s Cross against Athlone Town on Friday night to record more supporters in their eight home games this season than they did in their 16 games at their ground in 2013.
