Republic of Ireland coach Martin O’Neill is hoping Roy Keane will continue as his assistant, despite the former Manchester United star being considered for the vacant managerial position at Celtic.

Keane is one of the candidates the Scottish champions are considering as they seek to replace Neil Lennon, who resigned as at the end of the season after four years in charge.
