Manager quits after sacked defender tries to punch fan

David Holdsworth has left his managerial post at Goole just days after sacked defender Karl Colley’s altercation with a visiting fan.

Goole assistant manager and former England Under-21s international Curtis Woodhouse has been put in caretaker charge, but the club insists the former Ilkeston, Mansfield and Lincoln manager’s departure is an “unrelated subject” to the Colley incident.
