No Silva for City

Manchester City playmaker David Silva is suspended for the New Year’s Day trip to Swansea in the Barclays Premier League after accumulating five bookings.

Top scorer Sergio Aguero (calf) also remains on the sidelines along with striker Stevan Jovetic and defenders Martin Demichelis and Micah Richards (all hamstring).
