Vidic and Ferdinand back for United

Manchester United’s experienced central defensive pair of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand are in contention for Barclays Premier League returns at Fulham this weekend.
Vidic and Ferdinand played together for the first time since United’s derby thrashing by Manchester City in September in the midweek Capital One Cup tie against Norwich.
There are no concerns over striker Robin van Persie after a number of niggling injuries in recent weeks but fellow forward Danny Welbeck (knee) again misses out.
Provisional squad: De Gea, Lindegaard, Amos, Rafael, Smalling, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evans, Evra, Buttner, Fabio, Valencia, Nani, Fellaini, Carrick, Giggs, Anderson, Young, Cleverley, Zaha, Januzaj, Kagawa, Rooney, Van Persie, Hernandez.
