Celtic may bring Champions League to Dublin
Bookmaker Paddy Power is offering odds of 5/2 on Celtic playing their 2014-15 Champions League qualifier in Dublin.
The Glasgow giants are looking for an alternative venue while Parkhead is being used for the Commonwealth Games.
The bookmaker makes the Aviva the most likely Dublin venue to host the Bhoys at 9/2, followed by Croke Park, which is an 8/1 shot along with Old Trafford.
Murrayfield, the home of Scottish rugby, is the 8/15 favourite to roll out the welcome mat for Neil Lennon’s men while Newcastle’s St James’ Park is also amongst the frontrunners at 11/2.
A spokesperson for Paddy Power said “There are huge ties between Celtic and the Irish public and a guarantee of a full house could be enough to entice the Hoops to make their way to Dublin.”
