Peamount Utd manager to cash in on THAT goal by Stephanie Roche

THAT goal by Peamount United's Stephanie Roche which has become has gone viral is now earning cash for her manager.

According to The Sunday Times Peamount United boss Eileen Gleeson has struck a deal with social media news agency Storyful when the video started to shows signs of becoming an internet hit.

It has been reported in today's The Sunday Times that Storyful contacted Ms Gleeson when the video had 301 views - the point at which YouTube manually verifies the correct amount of views. This video has now garnered almost two million views.

The social media news agency has since sold the video to several broadcasters and it's likely that Ms Gleeson earnings from the clip will be significant.

The striker herself has been inundated with media attention, and messages of congratulations from prominent sports pundits like Gary Lineker.

She has also been called up for Ireland's World Cup Qualifier against Slovenia next week.
