Gascoigne charged with drunk and disorderly

Former England footballer Paul Gascoigne has been charged with being drunk and disorderly and two counts of common assault in connection with an incident at Stevenage railway station, Hertfordshire, on July 4, British Transport Police said today.
The former Newcastle United and Tottenham midfielder, who lives in Gateshead, was arrested after officers were called to the station at about 10.30pm and was later released on police bail.
