Benteke widraws transfer request, signs new Villa deal

Christian Benteke has withdrawn his transfer request and instead agreed a new deal at Aston Villa, the club have announced.

The striker has committed his future to the club until 2017 after a “full and frank discussion” with manager Paul Lambert.
